Current Drapery Trends in Dallas

So what are the current drapery trends in Dallas now, anyways?

Here’s a quick overview of what we’re seeing in the world of “window treatments”…

Simple panels on decorative drapery rods have been popular for years, and will continue in that direction. Hardware has shifted a little, though. New rods are slimmer (usually iron), with a smaller diameter than we’ve seen before. The “ringless” design is used most in contemporary or transitional homes, as it provides a sleeker look. Still, the traditional wood rods & classic finials will remain timeless, with more choices than ever.

If you prefer something a little more deluxe, the most popular valance style is a cornice board. (These are padded, flat valances created with a plywood base, covered in fabric.) We’ve done straight valances for a clean look, or various shapes & trims for traditional homes.

Roman shades continue to be very popular, with Honeycomb (cellular) shades and roller shades in high demand as well.

If you’re looking for a softer look, consider sheers for your windows. Whether used alone or with other treatments, they provide soft, light filtering privacy. And with hundreds of sheer fabrics to choose from, you can achieve virtually any look.
